Elote
Our Mexican street food-inspired blend is often used to bring added flavor to corn on the cob. The combination of spice, smoke and citrus give this blend a classic taste. It will “next level” your weekend barbecue or create a new, interesting flavor profile in your weeknight mac n’ cheese.
INGREDIENTS: 2 oz., Pico Blanco sea salt, chipotle pepper, cilantro, garlic, lemon, lime.
Gavilan
This garlic salt is a testimony to the power of our local Gilroy garlic -- no need to hunt for any other garlic salt once you’ve tasted this one. Enjoy on garlic bread, pasta, sauces, or meat. Add to extra virgin olive oil for dipping.
INGREDIENTS: 2 oz., Pico Blanco sea salt, Christopher Ranch organic garlic*, green onion*, Big Sur mustard flower*
Old Coast
The ingredients in Old Coast can be found along the beautiful road of Big Sur. If you make the trip, make sure you pull over in order to take it all in. Bring the flavor of Big Sur to your table with this delicious blend. *Andrea's favorite
INGREDIENTS: 2 oz., Pico Blanco sea salt, sage, leek, thyme, orange zest
Castrochill
Known as the "Artichoke Center of the World", Castroville specializes in heirloom Green Globe artichokes. California's official state vegetable is proudly sourced from Pezzini Farms, in Castroville. "Castrochill Salt" is a nod to one of the region's most famous crops, the hella chill little town you can explore by foot, and the funky steamed or fried treats you'll be tempted with, throughout your visit.
INGREDIENTS: Pico Blanco sea salt, Pezzini Farms Green Globe artichoke, lemon, cucumber
Outlaw
Nestled in the Ventana Wilderness, miles above Highway 1, the Outlaw camp is shrouded in mystery. Was it an illegal redwood shake operation? Why was it abandoned? The world may never know. Big Sur Salts offers "Outlaw", a smokehouse rub that pulls on your heart strings and runs off with your taste buds with reckless abandon.
INGREDIENTS: A blend of Mesquite smoked Pico Blanco sea salt, tomatoes, red bell peppers, paprika, parsley, garlic, black peppercorns, thyme, 2 row malt, and a bounty of other specialty spices to elevate your next BBQ and home cooking experience
Diablo
Inspired by Devil's Peak in the Ventana Wilderness, "Diablo" is everything you'd expect from a long, hot Summer hike in the backcountry. Once past the beauty of the place, the heat builds quickly. As you taste the salt in the sweat rolling down your face, you're gonna wanna give up; you may even shed a tear, but the feeling of accomplishment keeps you going while the wind at the top is there to cool you and fan you with a light, Pacific Ocean breeze.
INGREDIENTS: Blueberry wild salt, habañero, anaheim, chile de arbol, jalapeño, blueberry.
Tassafari
Since the early 1900s, visitors have been traversing up a steep and treacherous route leading to the spiritually cleansing experience of the Tassajara Hot Springs. The calming experience of soaking in the warm water of the Santa Lucia Range feels sacred. The colors in this blend resemble the ones observed while sitting on the smooth limestone of the soaking tubs; green trees and their red bark, sulphur and rocks. After perfecting this blend, we realized the color palette also represents the yellow, red and green of the Rastafari, hence the name.
INGREDIENTS: Pico Blanco sea salt, red, yellow and green bell peppers, garlic, black peppercorn, lemon zest and lime zest
O M Chi
Shockingly good, so aptly named OMG and slightly off-centered to include kimchi in the name. The maker ferments the base ingredients for weeks to make kimchi, dehydrates it all, and then adds the other ingredients to create this soon-to-be cult classic vegan craft salt.
INGREDIENTS: Pico Blanco sea salt, house kimchi blend (Napa cabbage, yellow onion, daikon, ginger, Monterey Bay Seaweeds ogo, cayenne pepper, cane sugar), red radish, green onion, dulse.
